2003 Toyota Camry Solara - SE (M5) Coupe

    Pros: The complete Sport package.

    Cons: The rear end look.

Advice: Shop for the best price, ($100 over invoice)

The newly designed 2002 Camry SE V6 Coupe has a 'mid budget' luxury sport look. They should have thrown duel instead the single exaust pipe to complete the sport look package. The V6 has plenty of torque for any situation with minimal interior noise. The SE suspention package is tight with a good feel of the road. Suprisingly even with the 16'' low profile tires and stiff susspention it has a relatively smooth ride. The interior with the brushed alluminum trim, nicely placed white guages and the on the floor shift gives the driver the feeling of a Euro sports car. The upgraded sound system sounds good and is easily operated. The fabric seats are comfortable; fairly good space in the rear for passengers. The trunk is huge even with the full size spare hidden undrneith. The Camery SE V6 is an EXCELLENT low budget sport coupe. Unless you have an extra ten thousand in your pocket this is the car.

2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder - GS

Pros: convertible top goes down fast

Cons: performance, engine, use of oil, loudness, etc

    Advice: Look elsewhere

The worst car of it's kind, of any kind! LEMON! It's loud, burns enormous amounts of oil and the lack of available service in Columbus, Ohio is amusing to say the least. The car burns 2 quarts of oil between ever 3000 mile oil changes! My advice....RUN AWAY from this car, from these dealers, from anything with the Mitsibushi name.

2002 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder - GT

    Pros: drop top and looks

    Cons: needs more power

Advice: if you want to beef it up, goto the club 3g web site

i got the car mid january 2002, and in 6 months have already racked up over 14,000 miles. it is sooooo much fun to drive, and is truly comfortable. my wife and i usualy take road trips of 100 miles or more each weekend!. my commute often requires 100 to 175 miles of driving a day, and i still love this car. it is not uncommon for us to drive 60 miles after work to take a walk on the beach. if you love to drive in comfort, and wish a fun, reliable car, this is it.

2002 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder - GT

    Pros: The convertible top!

Cons: I'd like a few more horses under the hood, 200 aint bad but 225-250 would be perfect

Advice: drive it with top up and down, watch the blind spots and make sure you can park it. It drives much bigger than it looks

love the drop top, no longer is the Eclipse a high school hot rod but quite a bit more refined and geared towards adults. Looks are an objective thing, so I'll stick to more facts about it. (Though I personally think it's gorgeous.) Its quick enough, not very torquey, wont snap your neck but you will turn a few heads with it. Its quite a bit bigger than you would think, watch the blinds spots with the top up. Drove it all winter and it was fine in CT snow. I get about 24 to the gallon. It has a wide turning radias so parking can be at times tough. Its very stable through turns at a higher speed. There is somewhat of a back seat, (which actually fits a baby seat, much to my chagrin) but no one wants to hang out back there for very long. The front seats are very roomy, taller riders may be bothered by the top sill of the windshield. The engine is incredibly smooth and has a nice exhaust note at low speeds but quiets down at higher speed so you wont be bothered by it. Very quiet and low turbulence in the front seats, you can carry on a normal conversation at 65 mph. Its very fun to drive hard or to just cruise. For what it costs, I cant find a better deal on a convertible, Highly recommend it.

2002 Audi TT - FWD Front Trak Roadster

    Pros: Ball glove interior

Cons: Turbo lag off the line

Advice: Make sure you can live with only 2 seats.

A pure joy to drive with unique styling inside and out. The optional ball glove interior adds to the special interior. The trunk in the 180 is the largest in its class, so this car is a real long distance cruiser.

2002 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder - GT

    Pros: Driver seat

    Cons: Rear window view

Advice: Don't bother driving anything else.

The spyder looks and handles well. Turning radius is not quite tight enough, but overall it's fun to drive, looks great and is fairly affordable. I love the driver's seat. I am relatively height challenged at 5 feet and I find I can reach effectively without having my chest in the wheel. My husband is 6 foot and finds it just as comfortable. Rear viewing could be a little better.

    2002 Audi TT - L 180 HP (M5) quattro Quattro Coupe

Pros: Preformance, this car loves to move, and with 4wd it feels solid as a rock.

    Cons: nothing

Advice: Test drive this car! and ask about smartbuy.

Of all the cars I considered, the Audi was the best without question. Power to spare, all wheel drive, fit and finish are top notch, and all scheduled maintainence is free for 4 years! This car handles like a dream, and is just plain fun to drive, but be warned, this car garners ALOT of attention.
