TO THE POINT
What’s New? The 2007 Audi RS 4 is all new, positioned above the current S4 with an extra 80 horsepower, a long list of visual and mechanical modifications, and an extra $20,000 tacked onto the window sticker.
Selling Points: Power, handling, styling, overall performance
Deal Breakers: Tight rear seat and stiff ride make it more track and less street
Our Advice: A great option for the occasional track driver whose bank account is busting with an extra $68,820, or anyone who wants supercar performance with seating for five and all-wheel drive.

Should the bounty of standard equipment not be enough, a short list of options aims to satisfy buyers of the fully-loaded persuasion. In exchange for $4,700, the Premium Package offers multiple memory functions, rain-sensing wipers, electrochromic interior and exterior mirrors, Bluetooth capability, heated rear seats, a power rear sunshade, a navigation system, and a Bose sound system. Individual options include Sirius satellite radio, rear side airbags, brushed aluminum interior trim, and a sunroof delete option for weekend racers looking to cut weight.

About Thom Blackett
Thom Blackett joined Autobytel in 2000 as a Research Analyst with the company's data division, Automotive Information Center (AIC). After four years of pouring through press kits searching for minute details, Thom jumped to Autobytel's editorial team. Born and raised in the state of Maine (no, it's not part of Canada and yes, the proper pronunciation of lobster is "lobstah"), Thom has always been a car nut, using his grandmother's potholders as steering wheels to "drive" around the house as a youngster. His biggest sorrow is never getting to know his grandfather's 1959 Caddy, or the '62 Impala Convertible and '69 Chevy Malibu that his parents once owned. As Autobytel's Road Test Editor, Thom strives to write articles that serve to inform as well as entertain. A proud member of the Motor Press Guild, Thom holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Maine. Comments may be emailed to thomb@autobytel.com.
