Design makes or breaks any new car, and the original Audi TT was heralded as a beauty from the start. Now, for 2007, the completely redesigned TT takes the Design of the Year award, beating an appealing Citroen C4 Picasso and the jaunty Fiat Grande Punto. This one is tough to argue, given that four esteemed design experts whittled the total list of contenders down to five from which the jury selected. However, the dull Cadillac STS, which is not an all-new car for 2007, was one of the finalists, which makes the selection process somewhat suspect.
