Toyota Tundra – Best New Pickup: This is gonna be fun. The Tundra just barely bests the Chevrolet Silverado/GMC Sierra offerings, thanks to its interior and more advanced powertrain choices. Fact is, however, either would make an admirable choice: the GM trucks offer a more comfortable interior that’s superbly executed, a smoother ride and more configurations, while the Tundra simply out muscles the Sierra/Silverado with its engines, six-speed transmission, innovative interior and sheer, brutish size. This is what contractors and workers want from a full-size truck, and, considering that they make up more than 40 percent of the buyers, the Tundra wins.
