Specifications & Summary
Summary
Overall, we like the 2009 Subaru Forester, and think the way our test car, as equipped, is a pretty good value when stacked against competitors like the Toyota RAV4 and Honda CR-V. It has a powerful and torquey 4-cylinder engine, comfortable ride and capable handling, and enough cargo space to keep mega-shoppers happy. It has its quirks, and we wish the interior were a little nicer, but overall it's an impressive evolution of the basic package.
