If you’ve driven cars with any power options in, let’s say, the past 20 or 30 years, you could likely find and operate each of the 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche’s secondary controls with hands tied behind your back, blindfolded, using only the tip of your nose. Controls for the power door locks, power windows, and power mirrors? You guessed it – on the door switch panel. The switch for the headlights? Oh, you were so close. No, they’re on the left side of the dash, not the left stalk. Then there are the modern-day features which will require removing the blindfold. We’re talking about the park assist system, power pedals, and stability control, which are all controlled by buttons on the center stack.
