Finding controls in a hurry is a cinch in the Passat Wagon because they’re all placed where you’d expect. Buttons for the windows, locks, and mirrors are located on the driver’s door switch panel, the sunroof controls are intuitively placed overhead, and the cruise control system is operated with a stalk on the steering wheel. Fuel and tailgate buttons are on the door and illuminated at night, as are all of the other primary buttons. A large button the left dash replaces a traditional emergency brake handle between the seats.
