Completely redesigned for the 2007 model year, the fourth-generation Honda CR-V gets a boost in horsepower to 166 out of its four-cylinder engine. Available with either a five-speed stick or automatic transmission, the manual CR-V can get 23 mpg in urban driving and 30 mpg on the open road. The CR-V offers a choice of front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations, and comes standard with front side airbags and curtains for both front and rear passengers. It also has a sensor that anticipates a rollover, as well as daytime running lights and ABS.
