The redesigned 2006 Mazda MX-5 Miata takes a big step forward when it comes to interior design. The gauges are beautiful in their simplicity, and the oil gauge really works. The dashboard is stylishly decorated with piano-black trim, the controls are laid out in logical fashion and prove easy to use, and with the exception of the silly molded-in cupholders the door panels are cleaner in design. Mazda even includes large storage bins located behind the front seats on higher MX-5 trim levels, and those sport bars behind the front headrests are quite handsome. The new MX-5’s interior looks much more upscale than the old car, especially when decked out in Saddle leather.
