The XL7’s otherwise inoffensive interior is flawed by poor materials. There are hard plastics everywhere, and they feel thin and cheap. The grain in them is all over the map, too. The dash top doesn’t match the door tops, even though they’re both black; the door panel itself boasts four different grains of plastic when one or at most two should be enough; and there are obvious mold lines on almost anything with an edge. The headliner is a nice mesh material, but the plastic pillar covers don’t even have a matching pattern. The leather feels cheap, and the same goes for the vinyl used elsewhere in the cabin. At least the door and center console armrests are soft and comfortable.
