What it Is
Dodge ZEO Concept Preview – 2008 Detroit Auto Show: Chrysler’s performance division has cooked up a 2+2 sport wagon with electric-only propulsion with a lithium-ion battery pack. Range: at least 250 miles. Dodge says the ZEO is built for driving enthusiasts and points out that “unlike other such vehicles” [Tesla Roadster], the ZEO has four doors, one for each passenger. Dodge says the ZEO will go from 0-60 in less than 6 seconds, which is HEMI territory.

What’s Under the Hood
Dodge put a single 200 kilowatt (268 horsepower) electric motor in the back of the ZEO. Power for the motor is supplied by 64-kilowatt hour lithium-ion battery pack. The whole thing rides on 23-inch wheels. At 2,650 pounds, the ZEO’s weight-to-horsepower ratio is 9.8:1, a little better than the Audi A5 for example.
