| GENERAL COMMENTS |
 |
| |
|
"When I was first told that we would be test driving a PT Cruiser, I had no clue what type of car it was. I was actually disappointed when I saw the car! But the test drive won me over! It was such a smooth ride and handled wonderfully! What a pleasant surprise! And I found that it's about the same length as the Jeep Cherokee Sport, so it doesn't take up alot of space in the garage. The only negative comment I have is that it doesn't seem to get the gas mileage it claims - I would say probably about 17-21 mpg!"

"I am a tall guy and this car is PERFECT! It has lots of room in the front and has the most comfortable cabin I have ever been in. The turbo is very peppy and it handles well. I am very pleased with how this has turned out. I traded in a 2003 Subaru Baja and it's NIGHT and DAY in terms of COMFORT, headroom, performance, etc. I would give this car a 10 out of 10. 220 HP is plenty for me."

"Having owned an '03 PT (which our son now drives), we were ready to buy again. The '03 was a 5-speed which we loved; the '05 is automatic which is more convenient but with much lower performance. All in all we love the car. BUT... Chrysler has had a few years to work out the 'bugs' on this thing so why, when I'm driving what is essentially a 4 cyl Neon with a different body, is my milage so lousy!?!? I'm LUCKY to hit 20 mph in town driving like an old lady! On the highway I seldom do better than MAYBE 24mph! These days that's ridiculous. Especially when there's a new 'PT Wannabe' by Chevy that's rated at 35 hwy! I do thank heaven I bought last years, though, as the new front end has ruined the entire aggressive look that made the car special. You blew that one, guys!!!!"

"Car is great and runs well. Could use more turn radius, when making a 'U' turn, be aware this car does not turn well.
Gas milage could be a lot better when comparing with similar competitor makes.
But overall car is great!!!
