GENERAL COMMENTS

"When I was first told that we would be test driving a PT Cruiser, I had no clue what type of car it was. I was actually disappointed when I saw the car! But the test drive won me over! It was such a smooth ride and handled wonderfully! What a pleasant surprise! And I found that it's about the same length as the Jeep Cherokee Sport, so it doesn't take up alot of space in the garage. The only negative comment I have is that it doesn't seem to get the gas mileage it claims - I would say probably about 17-21 mpg!"
Hampton , Virginia - March, 2005

"I am a tall guy and this car is PERFECT! It has lots of room in the front and has the most comfortable cabin I have ever been in. The turbo is very peppy and it handles well. I am very pleased with how this has turned out. I traded in a 2003 Subaru Baja and it's NIGHT and DAY in terms of COMFORT, headroom, performance, etc. I would give this car a 10 out of 10. 220 HP is plenty for me."
John C. (Placitas , New Mexico - March, 2005)

"Mine has over 34,000 miles on it and other than oil changes i've had no issues with car. still original brakes and tires.great car"
Pittsburgh , Pennsylvania - October, 2007

"Having owned an '03 PT (which our son now drives), we were ready to buy again. The '03 was a 5-speed which we loved; the '05 is automatic which is more convenient but with much lower performance. All in all we love the car. BUT... Chrysler has had a few years to work out the 'bugs' on this thing so why, when I'm driving what is essentially a 4 cyl Neon with a different body, is my milage so lousy!?!? I'm LUCKY to hit 20 mph in town driving like an old lady! On the highway I seldom do better than MAYBE 24mph! These days that's ridiculous. Especially when there's a new 'PT Wannabe' by Chevy that's rated at 35 hwy! I do thank heaven I bought last years, though, as the new front end has ruined the entire aggressive look that made the car special. You blew that one, guys!!!!"
Adrian , Michigan - February, 2006

"Car is great and runs well. Could use more turn radius, when making a 'U' turn, be aware this car does not turn well. Gas milage could be a lot better when comparing with similar competitor makes. But overall car is great!!! "
Alex F. (Miami , Florida - March, 2005)

GENERAL LIKES

"Roominess and comfort as both driver and passenger." "Comfort and headroom." "Retro styling" "The look; the seat position (you don't sit DOWN or climb up, you just slide in like a barstool); the price" "Body Style - "

GENERAL DISLIKES

"The look! Honestly!" "Wish it were a little roomier in the back." "Rear power window switches on floor console" "MILAGE!!!" "Gas Milage - 21 to 26 miles per gallon?... I don't think so, more like 17 to 21"
