"I love my Excursion! Bought the 2003 with the 6.0 turbodiesel. I get 23-25 mpg highway and around 18 mpg city. A truly awesome SUV. My wife is about 5'4' and she loves it as well. She is able to see the traffic nuts around her and make adjustments before the nutty DC drivers get too close. A perfect vehicle for a growing family."

"We are desert rates. We have a very heavy toy-hauler trailer and 4 quads. Add a full tank of water and fill up the fueling station and you are looking at over 9,000 lbs. of dead weight. Our poor Ram 1500 was giving its all trying to tow for us. We decided we needed something that was designed for towing. My husband was looking into a diesel Dodge Ram, but his vehicle is set up exactly how he wants it for off-roading. He suggested the Ford Excursion (which is MUCH bigger than the Dodge Durango I had). I took the 4x4 diesel Excursion for a test drive. When my husband & the salesman asked me what I thought my reply was 'I want a black one.' It's in my driveway now and I LOVE it! It does everything we want it to do. I even take it off-roading -- much to my husband's delight! At Pismo (in CA) I aired-down my tires and pulled about 10 other vehichles out of deep sand. Including an F350 Super Duty 4x4 pulling a trailer that was stuck up to it's axles! (Yes, I have pictures!). Anyway, as long as you need a BEAST this is the perfect vehicle. Just don't waste your money on a gas engine. Terrible mileage and does not have the towing capacity -- plus, hearing that turbo spool up is SO cool! I LOVE MY BIG TRUCK!!!"

"We all love this car. We needed something heavier than our F150 supercrew for our trips to the mountains to camp with our two sons and our trailer. They LOVE to sit in back and watch a DVD when I take them to the mall! I love the automatic engine starter from the keyless entry to start from inside and cool the car off when it's 100 degrees! And boy do other people love it too!"
