"As you're reading through these reviews, try not to pay attention to the people complaining about gas...they bought a V6 truck, what did they expect? Another note, the 4x4 features of these trucks are incredible. People just need to learn how to drive them off road. Skill replaces ignorance everytime. If you want backseat room, buy an Armada or Pathfinder, if you want a dependable, quality, on and off road vehicle, get an Xterra...period."

"The test drive was awesome. I absolutely fell in love with this vehicle as soon as I drove it. I had never owned an SUV before, so I was kind of sketchy about the gas mileage, but so far so good..."

"This is my second Xterra, I had a '02 4x2, and traded up for a '03 4x4 Granite, I love these trucks, they ride just like a truck, which I like, no car-like ride here, the 4x4 capabilities are pretty awesome, works like a charm...even if you are not into 4-wheeling, this truck cries out for a 4x4 system just to take you to uncharted territories. "I owned a 2000 Nissan Xterra SE 4x4, and I absolutely loved the vehicle. I decided it was time for me to buck up and get a new redesigned '03. My new '03 is even more fun than the '00-if that is even possible. These trucks are great- the 4x4 capabilities are amazing, they look great and the new Rockford Fosgate Stereo completely rocks. I HIGHLY recommend this vehicle. I'm on my second one-I'll keep buying them as long as Nissan keeps making them.."

"I don't see how anyone can not like this vehicle. I bought a 2003 SE and haven't had this much fun driving a vehicle since I had my old 2 door 85' Jeep Cherokee 4x4. Plenty of power for the everyday driver, looks better then any other SUV out there and has plenty of room and option choices. OK, maybe the back sets are a bit tight if your over 6 foot but I can over look that. For the people that knock the quality of the car just remember, there are bad apples in every barrel. If you had as much trouble as you say and the vehicle is still under warrenty then you should have declared it a lemon, got a different Xterra and went on your way, instead of dealing with the headaches. I work for the Sheriff's Dept in my area and if I had the chance I'd throw a light bar on my Xterra in a heartbeat! "
