The 2006 Dodge Truck Ram 1500 Regular Cab 4X4 is a 2-door, up to 3-passenger full size pickup, available in 9 trims, ranging from the ST SWB to the LARAMIE LWB [Discontinued]. Upon introduction, both trims are equipped with a standard 4.7-liter, V8, 235-horsepower engine that achieves 14-mpg in the city and 18-mpg on the highway. A 6-speed manual transmission with overdrive is standard on the ST SWB, and a 5-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is optional. A 5-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard on the LARAMIE LWB [Discontinued]. The 2006 Dodge Truck Ram 1500 Regular Cab 4X4 is restyled for 2006.
