The 2003 Vibe is a 4-door, 5-passenger wagon, available in 3 trims, ranging from the Base to the GT. The 2003 Vibe's closest competitors include the Chevrolet Aveo, the Saturn L300 Wagon, and the Volkswagen Jetta Wagon. Upon introduction, the Base is equipped with a standard 1.8-liter, I4, 130-horsepower engine that achieves 29-mpg in the city and 36-mpg on the highway. A 5-speed manual transmission with overdrive is standard, and a 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is optional. The GT is equipped with a standard 1.8-liter, I4, 180-horsepower engine that achieves 25-mpg in the city and 30-mpg on the highway. A 6-speed manual transmission with overdrive is standard. The 2003 Vibe is all-new for 2003.
