The 2004 GMC Safari Passenger Van is a 3-door, up to 8-passenger mini van, available in two trims, the Rear Wheel Drive and the All Wheel Drive. The 2004 GMC Safari Passenger Van's competitors include the Ford E-Series Wagon, the Honda Odyssey, and the Toyota Sienna. Upon introduction, the Rear Wheel Drive is equipped with a standard 4.3-liter, V6, 190-horsepower engine that achieves 16-mpg in the city and 20-mpg on the highway. The All Wheel Drive is equipped with a standard 4.3-liter, V6, 190-horsepower engine that achieves 14-mpg in the city and 17-mpg on the highway. A 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard on both trims. The 2004 GMC Safari Passenger Van is a carryover from 2003.
