The 2004 GMC Truck Canyon Regular Cab 2WD's competitors include the Chevrolet Colorado Crew Cab 2WD, the Ford Ranger Regular Cab 4x2, and the Toyota Tacoma 4X2. Upon introduction, both trims are equipped with a standard 2.8-liter, I4, 175-horsepower engine that achieves 21-mpg in the city and 27-mpg on the highway.
