 Favorite feature:

Overall styling, reliability and quality.

 Least favorite feature:

The gas mileage does seem a bit on the low side - which I'm finding is a common complaint.

 Advice to buyer:

Not your mother's Saturn - great overall value for the money.

 Detailed review:

I was a Saturn owner way back in 1991 when I bought a stripped down SL1, which ran for 10 years with no investments besides regular maintenance. Then I leased a VW Golf in 2000, which was a huge mistake. I purchased the Saturn Ion 2 in 2003, before my VW lease ended, because I needed a reliable car. I've had the Ion for abuot 9 months now, and I am very pleased with it overall. The quality is worlds above my VW (which cost almost twice as much), and the service is fantastic. I can't believe I'm driving a Saturn sometimes - the styling is much more attractive than so many other cars in the same price class. The center IP only took a little time to get used to, and now I can't imagine it any other way. Huge trunk, with easy to lower rear seats for more room, decent factory stereo, power windows and locks, remote keyless entry, rear battery with front contacts and nice amount of interior space. For the money, you can't go wrong on this one.
