Detailed review: |
This newly designed RAV4 is a great overall vehicle and a cut above the 2003 model. The engine is quicker and quieter and there are more standard options such as ABS and steering wheel controls. Almost everything about this vehicle is well designed and high quality...even the factory stereo is pretty good. The ride is very smooth for a truck and the interior is well designed with everything down to the drinkholders in the right place. The manual transmission is very smooth (unlike the CRV) and the removable rear seats are convenient too. The only thing really wrong with this vehicle is the oversized clunky rear door with a window that doesn't roll down or flip up...why Toyota left such a blunder on this vehicle is downright puzzling. Also, the truck could use an extra 6 inches in length and the blinking seat belt light on the dash is annoying. At any rate, this is a great vehicle and rates the best of the 3 small SUV's (the other 2 being the Ford Escape and Honda CRV) although the CRV is a close second with more cargo area. |
