There are a few items that consumers should be aware of prior to purchasing a Tahoe. The defrost system is not balanced. At the medium setting it will leave the window on the drivers side clear but the passenger side will be fogged with condensation. The dealerships response - design flaw, nothing can be done with it. Another issue is the breaking system. Though there isn't a problem with actually breaking, there is an issue with how long the breaks actually last. Per a Chevrolet dealership, the system is designed too small for the weight of the vehicle. Therefore, the consumer can expect to replace the brakes every 20-25,000 miles as I have had to do. Other than these two items it has been fine mechanically. The ride and comfort cannot compare with the Ford Expedition. The seats are considerably smaller and do not fit the back as well as other vehicles that I have tried.
