This is the 5th Toyota that we have owned and the second Avalon (previosuly owned a 1997). I would have to say Toyota has made excellent improvements on their luxary car. The '03 model that we purchased has everything that you can possibly put into it (inlcuidng a NAV system). Other than the NAV, most options comes standard. Its very quiet and smooth riding. The interior has a great deal of room (at 6'2' - I'm really happy with the head room). I compared Lincoln LS, IBM 5-Series and Volvo at the time of purchase and went with the Avalon. Dont bother with a Lexus - you get more for your money here! Avalon may not be a status symbol like others, however for what you get along with the quality I would serioulsy consider this car before buying others that are more costly. |
