Detailed review: |
Swapped a 2002 Regal for this because of Honda's bulletproof reputation. Had to go in 3 times for brake trouble. Why they used rear drums is puzzling. Had a 2001 Accord 4cylEX and 2002 LXV6, and this is a better driver by far than either of those. Neither had any torque, even the V6 had to get to 3000rpm for anything to happen. With vvti there is good torque for a small motor, 5-speed auto: about time. The others were quite restricted by their 4-speeds, they would shift into (fairly gutless) 3rd at 65-75, so good timing was essential. Got up to 33mpg with this, this is a tight handling 3100 lb car that needs more tire, I'd say 225.60.15 would help. Wonder why someone had to monkey with the HVAC controls, the radio control is mixed in with heat/air, nonintuitive and of questionable logic. This is a post-sale review, traded it for Impala 3.4. |
