Test drove both the RT and SXT versions. Both are nicely constructed with Benz like interior materials and fit. Ride was outstanding, with little body roll in the turns, confidence inspiring grip, and a not too harsh ride over RR tracks or expansion joints. Hemi grunts with gusto. The 3.5 V6 on the SXT is easily up to the task. Brakes on the RT are far superior to the SXT however. Pedal was firm and progressive where on the SXT it was soft until the brakes bite and bite hard. Options are a concern however. While most everything you could want is there, more often than not they are part of a package which has things you may not want. Example, the air filter on the climate control is only available with the side curtain airbags and, gasp, runflat tires. You want heated seats, you also get auto climate control, adjustable pedals, adn a power passenger seat. Shouldn't some of these things be available separately? Even so, this will be my next vehicle, as soon as they start arriving in numbers at the dealers. |
