Favorite feature: |
Panoramic moonroof. |
Least favorite feature: |
Thin cloth moonroof covers that close with some difficulty. |
Advice to buyer: |
Opt for the leather seats. The standard sport seats are good but easily collect lint. |
Detailed review: |
The 2005 Scion is a 'head turner' and exceptional value for under $20,000. I saw the vehicle next to a 2005 Toyota Corolla XRS at the local dealership. Test drove both vehicles and had to buy the Scion. The Scion surpasses the XRS in ride, handling, performance, and looks. The Scion 5-speed manual gearbox and shifting is smooth as silk versus the Corolla 6-speed XRS. Also, the Scion uses regular unleaded versus the premium gas required by the XRS. Have gone just over 1000 miles without any problems. The only negative: my wife is going to get tickets for speeding with the Scion. |
