I purchased this car with reliability in mind right? That's what Honda is supposedly known for...Well, my car only has 5485 miles on it and I took it in for a state inspection(Jan 6, 06) and while that was taking place, the lights were blinking and the car shuts off. The inspector thought I had a timer on it, Not! He gave me a boost and I thought nothing of it. Exactly a week later, I am out on the town in rainy, cold weather so of course I have wipers going and heat on. I stop to pick up a friend and car shuts off. I shut everything off and let the car rest. Then it starts up again. I take my car into R&S Strauss the next day and I tell them the problem. They look at my car and give me a printout that states my battery is dead and the alternator is charging at 12.34v. Since it is still under warranty, Strauss recommended that I take the car back to the dealer. I take the car to a certified Honda Parts & Repair place and they run the tests and tell me that there is nothing wrong with my car. I also called the main office in California to let them know what was happening but since no problem was found there is nothing they can do about it. While waiting, I meet another person with the same problem. While the car is in an idle position it runs the risk of shutting off and not starting up. Are there others out there with the same problem or any other problems that I should be aware of? Now, I am afraid to drive the car alone for a long distance. Any suggestions, please help.
