Detailed review: |
The 1500HD performs well and is very comfortable for five grown men. The only thing that will take some getting used to is the thirteen miles to a gallon. I traded in a 1998 chevy with 4.3 V6 that sipped gas and never let me down for 108,600 miles. A bigger family and bigger toys has required more truck. The trade off is less fuel economy. I have a friend with the same truck who has done a few minor after market mods to get fifteen MPG even while towing a heavy boat. I am considering these options most of all a fix for the constricted air intake and following up with hypertechs power programer. My summary thus far is that if this truck will achieve fifteen miles to a gallon under heavy load its the perfect truck for me. |
