Advice to buyer: |
Unless you use a 4x4 regularly, opt for the Z66 off road pkg. Locking differential, skid plates, and Bilsten gas shocks made it an excellent tow vehicle. |
Detailed review: |
The Avalanche has a Tahoe quality ride and plenty of room for 5 large adults. Handling is exceptional for this large of a vehicle. Beware, it loves the gas pump. With a standard 35 gal fuel tank, and a MPG average of 15-16, open up your wallet. Factory stereo is weak at best, but with the proper upgrade it provides an excellent sound stage for any high end audio system. At 12,000 + miles have had 0 repairs, only routine service. |
