The look; the seat position (you don't sit DOWN or climb up, you just slide in like a barstool); the price |

MILAGE!!! |
Advice to buyer: |
Good looking, comfortable, plenty of room w/short wheelbase, BUT it's not economical or fast! |
Detailed review: |
Having owned an '03 PT (which our son now drives), we were ready to buy again. The '03 was a 5-speed which we loved; the '05 is automatic which is more convenient but with much lower performance. All in all we love the car. BUT... Chrysler has had a few years to work out the 'bugs' on this thing so why, when I'm driving what is essentially a 4 cyl Neon with a different body, is my milage so lousy!?!? I'm LUCKY to hit 20 mph in town driving like an old lady! On the highway I seldom do better than MAYBE 24mph! These days that's ridiculous. Especially when there's a new 'PT Wannabe' by Chevy that's rated at 35 hwy! I do thank heaven I bought last years, though, as the new front end has ruined the entire aggressive look that made the car special. You blew that one, guys!!!! |
