the transmission going...I bought a new vehcile so I didn't have to be without the car this is the car we expected to drive for at least the next 25000 miles before repairs! Not 5000 miles! |

I bought this vehicle back in April. We feel in love with it. Took it on many road trips this summer including one from NY to ME. Very comfortable ride and our camping stuff fit great! Last weekend after returning from an overnight camping trip the car slipped into neutral. We had to stop the vehicle and turn it off. We turned it back on and it was fine but it wouldn't come out of 2nd gear after that. So we called road side service to have it put on a flat bed back to the dealership. I am very disappointed:-(. We were inconvienced since this is our only vehicle we had no way home or how were we going to get a rental if at all any. We did get a vehicle from the dealership the next day a ford Taurus but we go biking there is no way to put our bike hitch on this car. That is why we bought the escape! I should have been given an escape or something better I think. Especially since I have only made 4 payments on this thing! The dealership said it was a bad part in the transmission and they would fix it. They did that today and went on a test drive and it was great. 25 miles later the transmission stopped working again. I think I should be offered a new car. Ford said they would offer me a new car but haven't seen anything yet! I am a little upset with this vehicle. I am glad so many other people are satisfied with theirs and are having good luck! I wish I did!!!!! Because I really liked this car and still do! |
