Detailed review: |
I traded a 2000 Z71 Silverado, that I loved for my Avalanche in 2003. I dropped the Silverado off for a routine oil change and while waiting for my wife,my salesman asked how I liked my truck. I told him I loved it. He said he could show me something I'd like better. Convinced he was wrong I went on a test drive. I realized he was right but fought off the urge to trade a perfectly good truck for the Avalanche. Then my wife arrived and wanted a ride. The three of us got back in the truck and ten minutes later from the back seat she said,'I like this truck, I think you should get it.' I always do what my wife says, sometimes. Four years and 73,000 miles later she still says she's glad we got this truck. I have driven it in all weather conditions from 100 degree heat to a foot of snow. It has always performed well. We tow a 5,000 lb boat several times a year, one of the trips racks up over 1,000 miles. We have always felt safe and comfortable. We feel this truck is safe, comfortable, relaible, well powered, and stylish. We have never felt we couldn't take it to a specific event because it was a truck. There is one problem. They have changed the body style, and I am afraid to go in for an oil change. When I do work up the courage you can bet I'll leave my wife at home. |
