Advice to buyer: |
Don't buy it, unless you willing to pay $7100 or more to replace the GPS for each liguid spill. |
Detailed review: |
Do not buy SL500 (2006) or any model with cup-holders built in to the GPS command unit, it is unsafe to drive with one hand on the wheel and have to use the other hand to hold the drink in order to prevent automatic spilling when the road is not smooth or over the bumps or making the turns...it is a very bad design and the replacement of the GPS unit could cost $7100 and more each time... according to Mercedes Benz 'any liquid spill is not covered under the warranty'. Why? It is caused by the car it self and why do we have to pay more for the problem they have created? They should RECALLS all cars with that design! |
