Gas milage and lack of power as compare to 5.7 v8. |
Advice to buyer: |
Don't wait until it's empty to fill it up! |
Detailed review: |
5.3 v8 is not as powerful as 5.7 v8, even though it has 30 more horsepower. 5.3 v8 drinks more gas than my old 5.7 v8, 13 to 14 around town. Have gotten 18.1 on the highway a time or two, but I was trying to. Over 70 mph, gas milage drops significantly. Not as much torque as 5.7 v8.
Ride is wonderful! I drove it 10.5 hours from Georgia to Virginia with 1 gas stop. And I have a bad back!
I immediately removed the 3rd row seat.
Storage space is very plentiful. I added a TruckVault and 2 large dog crates in the rear. Love the low loading height with the 'barn doors'. |
