Detailed review: |
Bought '05 Sebring Coupe new in April of '05. Super exterior appearance, very aggressive look/ stance, that being, vehicle is so low to ground, and very large tires with attractive wheel design. However, after one year of ownership, that's where my interest of the '05 Sebring Coupe ended ! The Coupe is the most unpracticle vehicle ever ! In fact, the Coupe sits so low to ground, you can't drive up/ down most hills without damaging the under carraige of the vehicle ! After one year, I had to replace the entire front plastic bumper cover due to bottoming out the vehicle from traveling up/ down hills ! If you live in snow country as I do, forget it ! One good snow, and possibly, there goes your muffler, exhaust pipe, etc ! The car's just too low to ground for reasonable everyday use. My vehicle had the 4 cylinder engine w/ automatic transmission. To my surprise, the 4 held its own for pulling around a vehicle the size of the coupe, and the automatic transmission was responsive. The vehicle was really exhausting to get in/ out of because of height of vehicle from road surface. You had to throw yourself in, and then fight to climb out ! Dash design was bland, insturments were dim lit for night driving, too dim, and insturments were small/ hard to read. Nice stereo though, and heat and a/c worked well. In reality, only 4 adults could sit in vehicle, 5 would be pushing things a bit. Build quality appeared solid/ sound with exception of exterior design compromising the build quality as noted above. Once inside vehicle, should you attempt to use your sun visors, you then could not see one half of the road infront of you ! Driver visability was an extreme negative w/ this vehicle, you must be at your best to try and steer clear of hitting someone at all times. Trunk space is more than adaquate. In regard to comfort, this car has a busy type ride that can wear you down fast, it's definately not a long distance cruiser, even though, the vehicle does drive smoothly equipped w/ the touring suspension. Quality of interior is typical Chrysler, 'Cheap plastic', dull design. In the handling dept., the vehicle corners well, remains level in turns, and breaks well. However, on first week of ownership I had to have a rotor replaced, as it was warpped right from the showroom floor. |
