Pros: Manuvers well
Cons: much smaller than my minivan in storage! LOL
Advice: It's mine!Awesome
Pros: Lots of them
Cons: Getting in the back, but no biggie.
Advice: Don't expect a sports car.Review of 2004 Chrysler Sebring Limited convertible. Some reviews I’ve read seem disappointed that the Sebring vert isn’t more of a sports car. This isn’t anything wrong with the car, but with the reviewers’ expectations. If you want a sports vert, you go to a two-seater, not a four-seater. What the Sebring vert is, for my money, is an unmatched touring car. I live in Florida, so I get to drive a lot with the top down. (Plus I’ve just bought a windshield for the back, which permits driving in cooler weather. Even tho it’s for the back, it makes the front warmer in cool weather) I love the car, and my wife must like it, since she insists on driving it everywhere. But that’s okay with me, since it’s fun to either drive or ride in. I even like riding in the back on the Interstate—even before we got the supplemental windshield). The top is easy to put up or down, and when you put it down, the windows also go down. When you speed up over 10mph, the doors lock. And there are a lot of other thoughtful features. A readout in the dash gives you a lot of info, including the estimated mpg. BTW, we bought the car with 74,000 miles on it, and it still looks and drives like new. All in all, a practical convertible. PS: Other car is a 1996 Cherokee with 154,000 miles, which also looks and drives like new. (I kid you not!)
Pros: The heated seats were until they stopped working
Cons: The blind spots in the vehicle and that Daimler Chrysler does not stand behind its vehicle.
Advice: Do not buy Daimler ChryslerI bought a 2007 Chrysler Sebring in December of 2006 and it has been in the shop every month since. It left the factory without being sealed and I am still having problems, not just with moisture but with other things as well. I have written to the CEO of Chrysler and his people have contacted me and more or less told me today (8/2/07) who cares. But after reviewing several reports about Daimler Chrysler I have found out they gave me the same speech they give everyone else. Quoted from Chrysler 'It has to be duplicated for it to be a problem' Well let me tell you when I almost have a wreck b/c my windows are fogging up constantly in the middle of summer and it is not raining outside, then this is a real problem to me. My advice to all consumers is do not buy Daimler Chrysler. They do not stand behind there vehicles. They do not check their vehicles when they leave the factory to make sure they are a 100% completed. I feel that Daimler Chrysler is a disgrace to women (because they do not take me seriously) and to America. My family or friends will never buy Daimler Chrysler again.
Pros: 3.5 engine and 6 speed transmission, with electronic stability control and posi-traction
Cons: Inside is all plastic even though on the Limited, they try to break it up with something.
Advice: You really have to get either the Touring model with the 3.5 liter and 6 speed or the Limited- other engines too slowI bought the new 2008 Chrysler Sebring Limited Convertible and this is what this evaluation is about. The 3.5 liter engine coupled with the 6 speed transmission and the electronica stability package, with positraction, makes for a truly awesome vehicle in this class. It is not a bimmer as far as handling or acceleration, but it holds the road and takes corners beautifully and is very quick with this engine. The look of the car, especially with the standard 18' wheels is conservative more in the class as far as looks with the Solara Convertible. But, it looks much better and less bulky standing still than the Solara, particularly in silver and with the 18' tires take away that 'baby pram' look that comes with cars with as much heft as this one. Overall, for the money it is an excellent buy. I have had many Sebrings/LeBarons, but this is truly the best boulevard car I have had yet. Lots of features and accessories that when purchased, still produce a reasonable price for this automobile
Cons: A tie between the steering, transmission, and brakes
Advice: Do not buy ChryslerI test drove this vehicle in several years and ended up purchasing the 2005. Talk about a big mistake, so far it's been to the dealer 3 times for 3 different problems. Not only that, but I had such bad experiences at the repair shop that I went to a different dealer each time. Unfortunately, Chrysler warranties don't help you if you need to go somewhere with competent mechanics. So, if you're willing to drive 1 hour to the 3rd closest dealer only to have the mechanic say, 'I don't understand why it won't work' only to have to pay out of pocket for a local company to fix it straight out in 4 hours, than maybe Chrysler is for you. Otherwise, try a company with reliable cars and reliable mechanics.
Pros: The spacious comfortable cabin.
Cons: Standard limited edition does not have a moon roof.
Advice: Go test drive it you will be impressed.Comfort, huge interior space, comparable to a full size car in a mid size chassis. A trunk that will comfortably hold the golf clubs for a foursome. The 3.5 V6 has power to spare and that makes passing a breeze.
Pros: beautiful with the top down!
Cons: Rattling Windows, poor heating system
Advice: look at other convertibles with a sturdier build! The Chrysler Sebring convertible has many problems/quirks. The windows are horrendous with their rattling. I have taken the car 8x to be adjusted and they never improve. The positive note is the pickup of the v6....very snappy, and smooth sailing! :) The excessive wind noise, and rattling windows are very annoying. I would never buy another sebring convertible. The Sebring has the typical Chrysler issues. Fun to drive with the top down, but otherwise a very noisy car.
