Getting firsthand information from an actual car owner is one sure way to get an idea of car performance once it leaves the lot. Autobytel features real consumer reviews that give the unbiased experience of a car.
Pros: Looks and reliability
Cons: Hard to see behind you.
Advice: Just for singles, couples, or small familiesThe car is a kick to drive. We didn't get the turbo so it's no hot rod. Still, it has plenty of power... more than our '91 Camry. This is not a car for large families. There is alot of cargo space, but only if you remove the back seat(s). There is only three of us so there is tons of space. A family with two kids is about the limit. What can I say about the looks... it's the best looking car on the road! The sound system is top quality and there's leg room for everyone. There's so many things you can do with this design. One can give it a hot-rod look or go with it's retro design to bring out more of a 1930's look. I know of no other new car you can do this with. They're beautiful and reliable. Get one!
Pros: Ciggerette Lighter
Cons: No Ashtray
Advice: Try to quick smoking first.Bought the GT Turbo Version fully loaded. A little disappointed on poor engine torque. Find it difficult taking hills or and poor acceleration on expressway on/ramps. Pleased with the color, but totally disappointed with body styling. I can,t stand to look at it.I use this vehicle for short shopping trips because of good cargo areas. I also own an 2002 GMC Envoy SLT that I use most of the time.
Pros: Interior panels and controls.
Cons: Cars low gear shifting and noise level
Advice: I think that this is a good and comfortable car.Acceleration at low speeds sluggish until you hit the pedal. Cabin a bit noisy for a car of this size. Cornering is excellant and once in the high gear the car moves quite well.
Advice: make sure all the bugs are worked outBought a New 2003 GT have had nothing but problems, I love the looks of the car,and the driving, its a nice car if you don't have problems, door window had to be replaced, seat belt light and sound comes on when ever it wants and this is still happening and chrysler said maybe March before they can solve the problem. We liked our 2001 PT so well we bought a new 2003. Its a great car its chrysler that are the villians.
Pros: Stereo System
Cons: Front pax seat CANNOT be moved up or down.
Advice: Compare to other vans. . .this car has been downgraded.Your editor completely missed the boat on the T&C limited for 2003. . .a little real research would have helped. The suspension and stearing has been changed resulting in a noticeably harsher ride, car now comes with a lower grade tire, antenna not painted, mirrors no longer painted to match main color, passenger mirror no longer memory, rugs no longer plush, door post air outlets removed, single option aft seat now, front passenger seat CANNOT be moved up or down. . . and more if a person cares to LOOK. I can just imagine the things that were changed that we cannot see?????? I will not buy another T&C van. Phil Shadle//Solebury, PA.
Advice: take itgreat
Pros: Overall look of the vehicle.
Cons: Quality very poor.
Advice: Lease one for the warranty period and get rid of it or get an Odyssey and be happy long term.I was a two tome Chrysler Town and Country LXI owner. Loved the vehicles I had owned but due to a major problems I encountered with the 1998 I had (multiple a/c failures, bearing going out, cruise ctrl going out) I had within 50k mlies of ownership I elected not to purchase another one. Great to look at but not dependable at all. Final straw was made after contacting Chrysler Corporate and being told to take a hike on the issues. What a company policy huh? No thanks! As a result just purchased an Honda Odyssey and love it.
