2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser - GT

    Pros: Style, inside and out

Cons: The original tires that came with the car.

Advice: Up grade the tires to a good high performance tire.

Once you get a good high performance tire on the PT Cruiser the ride is good, very sporty ride. With a good high performance tire the car handles excellent on wet and snowy/icey surfaces.

2005 Chrysler Sebring - Base Coupe

    Pros: Nice sounding stereo

Cons: Vehicle sits far too low to ground to be a practical driver !

Advice: Steer clear of this vehicle, you'll pay now, and you'll pay later !

Bought '05 Sebring Coupe new in April of '05. Super exterior appearance, very aggressive look/ stance, that being, vehicle is so low to ground, and very large tires with attractive wheel design. However, after one year of ownership, that's where my interest of the '05 Sebring Coupe ended ! The Coupe is the most unpracticle vehicle ever ! In fact, the Coupe sits so low to ground, you can't drive up/ down most hills without damaging the under carraige of the vehicle ! After one year, I had to replace the entire front plastic bumper cover due to bottoming out the vehicle from traveling up/ down hills ! If you live in snow country as I do, forget it ! One good snow, and possibly, there goes your muffler, exhaust pipe, etc ! The car's just too low to ground for reasonable everyday use. My vehicle had the 4 cylinder engine w/ automatic transmission. To my surprise, the 4 held its own for pulling around a vehicle the size of the coupe, and the automatic transmission was responsive. The vehicle was really exhausting to get in/ out of because of height of vehicle from road surface. You had to throw yourself in, and then fight to climb out ! Dash design was bland, insturments were dim lit for night driving, too dim, and insturments were small/ hard to read. Nice stereo though, and heat and a/c worked well. In reality, only 4 adults could sit in vehicle, 5 would be pushing things a bit. Build quality appeared solid/ sound with exception of exterior design compromising the build quality as noted above. Once inside vehicle, should you attempt to use your sun visors, you then could not see one half of the road infront of you ! Driver visability was an extreme negative w/ this vehicle, you must be at your best to try and steer clear of hitting someone at all times. Trunk space is more than adaquate. In regard to comfort, this car has a busy type ride that can wear you down fast, it's definately not a long distance cruiser, even though, the vehicle does drive smoothly equipped w/ the touring suspension. Quality of interior is typical Chrysler, 'Cheap plastic', dull design. In the handling dept., the vehicle corners well, remains level in turns, and breaks well. However, on first week of ownership I had to have a rotor replaced, as it was warpped right from the showroom floor.

2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser - Touring

Pros: The make and color of the car. I have the red car

Cons: The car eats gas too quickly

Advice: Yes buy - the car is overall a good car so far.

I would score higher for performance and the overall rating but cannot because This car does not get the gas mileage it claims. I got more mileage from my SUV which went 17 miles a gallon in the city. The car, however is a 4 cylinder, but the car is supposed to have turbo but it does not go as fast as I expected. It seems like I have to a least go 60 miles per hour just to get some decent speed - so that causes gas to even go faster. I am currently not satisfied with the speed or gas mileage of the car. I do like the car overall though.

2006 Chrysler Sebring - Touring Convertible

    Pros: The convertible top

    Cons: The stereo system

Advice: Buy a used one so you don't lose out and have so much negative equity.

I recently purchased a 2006 Sebring Touring Convertible and am having problems with the belt squealing. Not sure exactly what could be wrong with a new car. Service dept said nothing was wrong, but every morning it has a high pitch squeal for about 5-6 minutes. These cars are so over priced too. Paid 28K, now the trade-in value is 19K. What a rip off!!! My left door vibrates too whenever the radio is on. If I touch it, it stops...poorly designed.

2005 Chrysler Sebring - Base Convertible

    Pros: nice looking

    Cons: warranty coverage protection

Advice: expect to pay out of pocket even in the first 3yrs for repairs

my 2002 sebring conv has to be the worst for repairs of any car i have owned, a quick short list of repairs.the whole front end due to noise under 20k,both tie rods, rear brake rattle had to replace all new brakes started at 22k, overheated no one knows why, rust at 24k chrysler only covers rust holes in their warranty. ar is parked in heated garage 90% of time, heater controls broke, seat heaters broke, windows leak water, rear window defog broke, car has been alligned front and back numerious times,so be weary!! they may look nice but that is as far as it goes.
