2006 Chevrolet Uplander - 3LT FWD Extended Passenger

    Pros: DVD, Power sliding doors.

Cons: No Nav system for this year model offered. Gas mileage

Advice: Get the power options. Remote doors are nice when hands are full.

Rides nice. It has alot of room. I wish the third row seats flipped down into the floor like other brands. Lugging those seats in and out is not for a small woman. DVD is great but I would like to see an additional hook up for a second monitor for the passenger seat up front. On long trips my wife would like to sit by me as I drive and watch the DVD player.

2006 Chevrolet Uplander - LS w/1LS FWD Extended Passenger

    Pros: I like the look

    Cons: It smells like sulfur

Advice: Don't buy it. Buy a Ford!

My husband and I purchased this in Feb of 06 and in just a few short months we noticed a sulfur smell coming from the exhaust. Took it in still under warranty and they tell me it's a sensor, change sensor....still smelling. Take it back tell me now that it's the gas I use. Change gas types several times....still smells. Take it back now they are telling me it's normal. Everyone I talk to tell me it's the catalytic converter. Contacted Chevy they tell me it's normal. It's been in the shop 5x's now and the problem still exists. I have contacted the Better Business Bureau. Chevy fails to up hold their warranty.

    2006 Chevrolet Uplander - FWD Passenger w/1LS

Pros: The look of the vehicle.

Cons: It does not seem to be spacious for a minivan.

Advice: Shop around. I love Chevy but this one needs work.

I have had my van for a year and a half and have had it in the shop about 4 times. My biggest concerns are space in the front seats. They are not equipped for big men. My husband thinks it is the most uncomfortable vehicle we have ever had. I have also had trouble with the automatic door. 9/10 times now it is popping back open after it is shutting. This is my first minivan and I wish I would have shopped more.

2006 Chevrolet Uplander - 3LT FWD Extended Passenger

    Pros: DVD Player

    Cons: Everything else

    Advice: Buy Toyota or Honda

This Uplander has been a nightmare. There have been so many parts replaced and it is a new vehicle. It has been in the shop many times which is so unneccesary for a new vehicle. It seems every month there is something else that goes wrong with the vehicle. It is becoming a safety issue now for myself and family when we take it on trips or just driving to work. GM really didn't do well with this vehicle. A friend of mine has a Honda Odessey and what a difference!! I would never buy this vehicle again. For $32,000 it has been a piece of junk. I would have gotten rid of this van a long time ago but I am stuck into the lease. Buyers beware!!

2006 Chevrolet Uplander - LS w/1LS FWD Extended Passenger

    Pros: dvd player

Cons: lack of cup holders and outlets

    Advice: great value

The uplander was one of the most comfortable vehicles I test drove, I had taken other vehicles for a ride and they didn't have the amount of room the uplander has. I have only had the vehicle for a couple of weeks now, but we couldn't be happier at the quality. I did have to take it in, but just to have a seat belt replaced that was recalled and to fix a cup holder, other than that, it's a great vehicle at a great price.
