Advice: It is a solid Crossover with good acceleration on the LTZ model & has a good amount of cargo space
I traded in a 2007 Silverado LTZ Vortec Max on this New 2010 Traverse LTZ 10-30-09 & have been very pleased with my decision. MPG's was the main reason I opted for a smaller vehicle but I did not want to give up what I had become accustomed to such as the Big sound of the Bose audio system, Onstar, Leather seats, Climate control front & rear, Sun Roof, Remote Start, etc. I got all of those things in the Traverse LTZ with a pretty nifty RearView Camera whenever I put it in reverse. In addition, I don't have to unlock & lift up a Tonneau Cover anymore to carry large things because the Traverse has a lot of cargo area when I fold down the 3rd seats & 2nd row Captain's seats. Initially I was going to get the Dark Cherry colored Traverse but my 'excellent' salesperson' Dina at Tom Bell Chevrolet in Redlands, Cali said she liked the Black Granite more. She was right! My Traverse has quick acceleration for a medium sized Crossover & hardly noticable outside noise. Stepping down in size from a 4x4 Silverado 5ft bed is a rather pleasant change for me in the Traverse. Also, I almost forgot to mention the Rear Lift can be activated by the Remote or from inside the Traverse. The strangest things I have experienced is the fact that the battery is not located under the hood..it is located behind the passenger seat in the floor. In addition, I pulled up to fill it up for the first time since I bought it. I went inside & paid for gas. When I came back out & looked for a lever or little push down down by the driver seat or the lower driver side dash I couldn't find one. It was friday evening & people were driving up to fill up so I went back inside & asked for my money back & drove home. I called Onstar & the tech lady said push in on the gas cover door & it will pop open. Boy did I feel dumb. All in all I would recommend the 2010 Traverse LTZ as a VERY good alternative to a big SUV that doesn't skimp on amenities, acceleration, or Cargo space. This was the first time I really felt good about a New Automobile & the salesperson. Dina is a terrific salesman because she is honest, straightfoward, & knowledgable. She searched & searched until she found what I wanted at the price I could afford
