2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer - LT 4x4
Cons: Computer problems, wind noise
Advice: Don't buy this type, others are much better for the sme price.I have owned this SUV for 3.5 yrs and have had problems galore, almost everything was covered by an extended warrenty thur the dealer because of intial problems but...who wants to be wasting valuable time in a service dept. Gas milage 13mpg only. I've decided to trade it for a Honda or Toyota. Tires, Battery were shot at 24K miles, now rotors&brakes are going which is normal for Chevy's @48K I'm told. Excessive wind noise also. Its a lemon.
2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer - LT 4x2
Pros: exterior looks
Cons: mechanical problems galore
Advice: don't buy!Absolutely worst vehicle I have ever owned!! I am at a current 10,000 miles problems thus far: signal lights don't work, hazard lights malfunctioning, gas gauge malfunctioning, temp gauge malfunctioning, 2 seatbelts jamming, door locks malfunctioning, transmission problems, service engine light malfunctioning, reduced engine light malfunctioning, horrible gas mileage. This vehicle is a nightmare!
2003 Chevrolet TrailBlazer - LTZ 4x4
Pros: very roomy
Cons: the quality of this vehicle
Advice: think again! My advise to those looking to purchase a new vehicle, don't even bother with the 2003 Trailblazer. It may look very nice on the outside and the interior, but something is always going wrong with. The taillight and the air conditioning constantly goes out, I keep having problems with the ABS light coming on. I've had the truck for a year now and it's been to the dealership more than any vehicle should have to in a year. Once the warrenty is up all of the things that keep going wrong with the Trailblazer is going to have to come out of my pocket to fix. So I'm getting rid of it because it was a very bad investment.
2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer - LS 4x2
Pros: ride quality
Cons: front seats high up
Advice: shop around for best price..Match ford at leastBest ride. Little smoother in 2wheel drive model, not much. after having fullsize chevy it's little small. Tall people will suffer with tall seats. Hard to see street lights. Great truck to travel in. Awesome price with rebates. But w/out rebates ford is priced better. Matter of opinion on quality, I felt Trailblazer had better quality all around.
2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer - LS 4x2
Pros: engine power
Cons: gas milage, numerous problems
Advice: don't get the 02, I feel like we were guinea pigs and gm won't stand behind this truckI have never been so disapointed in a vehicle before. To start the gas milage is terrible. The paint started chiping the first week. The front bumper warped. The inside rubber trim around the doors is coming off. The right side driver door leaks. I had to replace the clutch fan, $700.00. Many owners had to replace that part around the same milage (40,000). Now my air conditioner compressor needs to be replaced, $1200.00 for this repair. Any vehicle built in this day and age should hold up way better than this!!!!!!!! Trying to trade mine in!!!
2003 Chevrolet TrailBlazer - LS 4x4
Pros: Smooth acceleration-quiet ride
Cons: Seats- fabric is okay, but more lumbar support
Advice: Purchase a low miles used vehicle. You will save considerable $$$$This is my first new/used car in 8 years! The affordability factor forced me to consider buying a compact SUV and I test drove 4 models. The ride was poor and noisy, plus I felt packed in the car. Very uncomfortable and the vehicles had zero power. The trailblazer I purchased had only 9,500 miles and it has lots of nice features. Plus, I could afford a nearly new model. The ride is very quiet and luxurious. I can accelerate down the freeway with ease. I am a mom with 4 nearly grown kids. We are all tall people, I am 5'10' and my sons are both over 6 feet tall and they are not finished growing. The TB has plenty of space and legroom even for our large sized family. My last vehicle was a 1997 Ford Aerostar van with a 4 cylinder engine. I know it's ugly but the price was right for a loaded vehicle. The van has over 95,ooo miles and is just now starting to have minor mechanical problems. The Chevy Trailblazer was a great purchase and I got it at a great price!
2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer - LTZ 4x4
Cons: ACCELERATING WHEN STOPPED
Advice: TEST DIVE A CAR BEFORE PURCHASINGTHE TRUCKS RIDE AND COMFORT ARE GREAT. THE EXTERIOR AND INTERIOR IS VERY STYLISH, THE ONLY PROBLEM I HAVE WITH IT IS WHEN ACCELERATING AT A LIGHT IT FEELS LIKE IT NEEDS ALOT OF POWER TO MOVE (BUT THIS ONLY SEEMS TO BE A PROBLEM WITH MINE. I TEST DROVE ANOTHER TB AT A DIFFERENT DEALERSHIP AND THAT HAD WAY LESS NOISE THAN MINE.)
