    2005 Chevrolet Tahoe - LS 4x4

    Pros: Quiet, responsive, interior quality.

Cons: Driver seat could be more comfortable

    Advice: Do it !

I drove my new Tahoe to Palm Beach from New Hampshire on business. With my Nav system and SatRad it was sheer joy ! Handling and maneuverability are perfect. Steering was easy and cabin appointments made the 'T' a perfect companion with virtually no wind noise. The Engine is responsive and has blazing acceleration. Not bad for 3 ton vehicle. Fuel economy is ok under 60 MPH at 17 MPG. GM could make the drivers seat a little more tush friendly and softer. Other than that its a winner !

    2005 Chevrolet Tahoe - LS 4x2

Pros: The way it handles for a full size SUV - GREAT!

    Cons: Climbing in and out

Advice: If you don't need to haul a full load of people plus luggage, this is your vehicle.

I had a 2003 Trailblazer EXT that I hated. The six had no power and it handled lousy. One day while having it serviced my salesman told me about a great lease deal on the Tahoe. I jumped at the chance to dump the Trailblazer. The Tahoe LT is more truck than I need but it is a pleasure to drive with its powerful V8 and it handles like a much smaller vehicle. It is getting almost 16mpg in mixed highway/city driving. I was prepared for 12mpg so I'm very happy. It has almost every feature you could want and is very roomy for my family of 4. There is very little room behind the 3rd row seat which does not fold flat into the floor but when it is folded up we can haul 2 weeks worth of vacation luggage. Yes, it is 'old tech' and has not been changed much since the 2000 model year but this has turned out to be GOOD. After 6 model years thay have apparently learned how to build it right. It's dependable, a pleasure to drive, and the leather interior is pleasant even if not of the highest quality materials. The controls are logical and the XM Radio is a hit with everyone in our family. IF YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE CUTTING EDGE, AND ARE LOOKING FOR A ROOMY, DEPENDABLE FULL SIZE SUV, GIVE THE TAHOE A TEST DRIVE. Also, full size SUV's are not flying off dealer lots with the current gas prices. You should be able to save enough to more than pay for the extra gas.

    2004 Chevrolet Tahoe - LS 4x2

    Pros: has room for 8

    Cons: better radio system

Advice: buy this one it's a great vehical

I have had my 2002 tahoe 4 months and it is my first suv. I love this vehical sooooo much and would never drive another car again. It is very spacious and comfortable. The kids are not right in your ear when you are driving and there is plenty of room for tv's and things. I can fit 8 people comfortably in this vehical and I love that. It drives well and gas is not too bad this is a great vehical.

    2004 Chevrolet Tahoe - LS 4x4

Pros: the off road power and the looks

    Cons: none loved it all

Advice: get the Z71 and forget the leather seats. it is comfort as it is

I got the Z71 without the leather, I needed a car to go to work with and to have fun on road and off road, I have tried many of road SUV's and boy this one realy is great in the desert and the soft sand, also it had a nice power to climb over any thing. If you are getting one get the Z71 it is worth it. for me the navy blue

    2004 Chevrolet Tahoe - LS 4x2

Pros: Smooth ride and the room for the $$$

Cons: Radio too far away from the passenger

Advice: Yukon is pretty much the same thing but it costs more. Go with the Tahoe!!

Very smooth ride. Has all the room you ever wanted! I highly recommend the Tahoe. Overall, the gas mileage is not that bad. If you cannot afford the gas...don't buy it. Go get the hybrid. I can not state enough good things about the Chevy Tahoe. From this day forward I will always be a Tahoe driver.

    2003 Chevrolet Tahoe - LS 4x4

Pros: Comfort and interior design. Also has a nice ride.

Cons: The price as compared to the quality. You can get more options with a Toyota for less.

Advice: Shop around first. Buy one, don't lease it. At least you can trade it in.

My Tahoe has 19,000 miles and we have already replaced the intermediate steering shaft once and it needs to be replaced again. There are noises coming from the front end that they have not been able to diagnose. You hear a loud rubbing noise and a rattle underneath, even on a paved road. I am taking it to a second dealership to see if they have a different review of the vehicle. As a minor note, the speaker in my front passenger door actually fell out into the speaker cover as I was driving down the road. I like the vehicle, but would like to have it repaired correctly, especially since it is under warranty. This is a concern because I saw another review similar to mine about noises under the front end. For $600 per month, I should hear no noises at all, especially at 19,000 miles.
