Continuing one of the industry's more customer-friendly trends, the Bowtie brand is making some significant upgrades to the 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe full-size SUV—and its upsized sibling, the Chevrolet Suburban—even though that pair represents two of the freshest vehicles in the lineup. In fact, both were introduced as all-new models just a few months ago, but like an increasing number of brands, Chevy is moving quickly to keep the 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban on the cutting edge of competitiveness.
Unsurprisingly, this includes the addition of 4G LTE connectivity from OnStar, which will be standard on the upper-grade LT/LTZ trims of the 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe/Suburban, along with a three-month/three-gigabyte trial data plan and mobile wi-fi functionality. The duo also will support occupants' digital devices with wireless charging, while customer convenience is further enhanced with a hands-free liftgate; folks with the keyless-entry fob can just wave a foot beneath the rear fascia of the 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe or Suburban for easy access to the rear cargo area.
Wireless charging and the hands-free liftgate are standard on the 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe/Surburban in their LTZ trim and available on LT models as part of a luxury package.
Said Sandor Piszar, director of Chevrolet Marketing: “These new technologies make Chevrolet’s class-leading full-size SUVs even more attractive as the go-to vehicles for active lifestyles.”
Which is saying something when you notice that deliveries of the 2015 Chevy Tahoe already were spiking by 51.5 percent in July, on their way to a seven-month sales total of 56,621 units and 18 percent volume growth.
The new product enhancements are expect to roll out in October, with the 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe/Suburban currently highlighted by pricing that starts at $44,895 and features like:
- The latest Chevrolet MyLink infotainment technology with 8-inch color touchscreen
- A dual-screen rear-seat entertainment center with Blu-ray DVD player
- The full suite of GM safety measures, including a "Safety Alert" driver's seat, side blind-zone alert, lane-change alert, rear cross-traffic alert, forward collision alert, lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, crash-imminent braking and the only front-seat center airbag in the segment
- Powerful yet efficient V8 engines that deliver 355 hp, 383 lb.-ft. of torque and a max tow rating of 8,600 lbs. (for the 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe)
