2007 Chevrolet Suburban 1500
Yet another iteration of the legendary Suburban
Pros: Exceeded expectaions in comfort, reliability, maintanance costs, finish and manuverability)
Cons: MPG (average 17, which is good for the size and power, but still hurts)
This is my 5th Suburban or Tahoe The 2007 delivers all that was promised. Fit and finish still get comments after 4 years. Aftermarket 22” rims and tires turn heads, but change the ride. Unless perfectly balanced and optimally inflated, you feel a lot more of the road with the 22s. Plenty of room for both my work equipment and my for passengers at the same time. Comfortable as driving a lounge chair. This 2 wheel drive can handle ice with ease while others with 4wd are slipping away. Would love to see my next Suburban take advantage of additional transmission gears (5 or 6 instead of the current 4). This might squeeze more mileage out of the engine and could improve perceived acceleration.- Recommend this vehicle to a friend? Yes

2008 Chevrolet Suburban 1500
Ultimate tow vehicle
Pros: Stability
Cons: lack of integrated trailer brake control system
GM's Chevy Suburban has got to be the ultimate in towing vehicles with the wheel base, stability, comfort and 4-season ability, you can haul 8 Boy Scouts and gear with ease in the summer and tow a fully loaded 4-place enclosed snowmobile trailer with riders and gear through and over snow/ice covered roads. It is a multi-purpose, multi-season, convertible vehicle that can never be replaced or downsized (tried it, hated it, and went back to the original!).- Recommend this vehicle to a friend? Yes
