2003 Chevrolet Monte Carlo - SS

    Pros: Body Style

Cons: Rear Passenger Seatbelts are a hassle

Advice: Get one..Make sure its a SS and with factory Graphics. Get a White/Silver quarter Panels

I own a 2003 SS. I would LOVE to se more performance options in this Veh if its representing NASCAR. I have the 3.8 SS 2003 and turned it into a exact replica of the Indy pace car..Really Super Sharp..Turns heads, but wish I had the Supercharger or can get more HP..200 hp does not do this veh justice. What is Chev thinking. All in all, I'm 57 yrs of age, male, and just love driving this SS. Makes me feel 18 again.

2003 Chevrolet Monte Carlo - LS

    Pros: Overall Value

Cons: Can't believe no glove box light available!

Advice: test drive both LS and SS models before you buy

Smooth and comfortable big car feel. Handles bumps well and minimal road and outside noise. Very quiet! Engine accelerates smoothly. Nice cruising car for long trips down the turnpike. Good braking too! You will think Caddilac on overall feel for a lot less money! However overall quality of workmanship and materials don't quite meet that standard! Plus the car is a real headturner on looks and a nice overall package.

2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo - SS

Pros: The fact that it is american made and the train stopping brakes!

Cons: the daytime running lights and the On-star Integration

Advice: Go ahead and get it....You can't lose,It's like an affordable Cadillac!

I LOVE this car!!!!!!I think that the only thing that It is actually lacking is a v-8 engine, but since there are only a few cars and trucks on the market that actually have them you may not even notice. The performance is very good for a V-6. it is potent to say the least and the handling is great for a vehicle of this size because the steering has a very nice mix of being sport precise and smooth at the same time. The take-off is good (I leave the 2 fast 2 furious types in the dust). I love the fact that Chevy provided the car with a lot of extra's and at the same time the layout of the controls are easily located and simple. This is a get in and go automobile with a little muscle in it's hustle. The radio & rear view mirror controlled On-Star system is cool because it can check stock quotes and e-mail or be a voice recorder, a cellular phone or a personal assistant. although if you're into car stereo's and want to change the radio for an aftermarket upgrade it will be difficult unless you purchase the non-Onstar model. The car has lots of room both front & back as well as good head room trunk space. The car is also comfortable on long & short trips. Also the entry & exit is great (I should know I am 6'-1')The car also has other nice features such as a turn signal indicator chime that comes on when the signal is left on for more than a minute and if the ignition is on and you turn the key again the ignition will not make a terrible grinding noise like most cars still do. Chevy put lots of effort in this one and I'm very satisfied with this being my first new car purchase. In a nut shell all you have to do is stay in between the lines and obey the traffic laws and you're good because the car practially drives itself!

2003 Chevrolet Monte Carlo - LS

2003 Chevrolet Monte Carlo - SS

    Pros: Apperance

    Cons: Seats are uncomfortable

Advice: Wait until 2004 when the SS gets 40 more horsepower.

I love the lines but I wish I held out till 2004 when the SS gets an additional 40 horsepower. The car tends to torque its way down road as is the nature of the 3800 series II powerplant. The usual smooth shifting transmission can become confused as to what gear to be in under certain driving conditions. If your looking for a sports car this is not it. But if you are looking for a smooth, well performing 2 door car with clean lines and decent performance for under $25,000 this is it.

2003 Chevrolet Monte Carlo - SS

Advice: Be prepared to fall in LOVE

Really enjoyed the handling the car had. It moved swiftly, maneuvered great, almost drove itself.
