2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo - SS

Pros: The fact that it is american made and the train stopping brakes!

Cons: the daytime running lights and the On-star Integration

Advice: Go ahead and get it....You can't lose,It's like an affordable Cadillac!

I LOVE this car!!!!!!I think that the only thing that It is actually lacking is a v-8 engine, but since there are only a few cars and trucks on the market that actually have them you may not even notice. The performance is very good for a V-6. it is potent to say the least and the handling is great for a vehicle of this size because the steering has a very nice mix of being sport precise and smooth at the same time. The take-off is good (I leave the 2 fast 2 furious types in the dust). I love the fact that Chevy provided the car with a lot of extra's and at the same time the layout of the controls are easily located and simple. This is a get in and go automobile with a little muscle in it's hustle. The radio & rear view mirror controlled On-Star system is cool because it can check stock quotes and e-mail or be a voice recorder, a cellular phone or a personal assistant. although if you're into car stereo's and want to change the radio for an aftermarket upgrade it will be difficult unless you purchase the non-Onstar model. The car has lots of room both front & back as well as good head room trunk space. The car is also comfortable on long & short trips. Also the entry & exit is great (I should know I am 6'-1')The car also has other nice features such as a turn signal indicator chime that comes on when the signal is left on for more than a minute and if the ignition is on and you turn the key again the ignition will not make a terrible grinding noise like most cars still do. Chevy put lots of effort in this one and I'm very satisfied with this being my first new car purchase. In a nut shell all you have to do is stay in between the lines and obey the traffic laws and you're good because the car practially drives itself!

2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo - SS

Pros: the ride the feel you get when you drive this car. its a fun car.

    Cons: liked everything

Advice: test it and buy it. its a class vehicle.

from performance to handling excellent. i have had this car up to over a 125 mph and i was very comfortable with its handling. i drive the speed limit but has the horses to get you up there. this a performer but you don't need to go 125 mph. i wish gm would put this in a rear wheel drive and with some choices as far as engine hp.

2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo - SS

Pros: The smoothness and quietness of the ride

    Cons: The automatic transmission

Advice: Do cut back on options you like because of price. This car will make it all worth the dollars you spend and then some.

This car absolutely amazed me in it's handling and smoothness of the ride. The steering is tight and exact and the suspension is just as if you were in a cadillac or any other luxuary car. It 's the largest coupe in it's class yet drives like a medium sized car. The interior is plush and very spacious unlike other coupes. The only thing is that it comes only with an automatic transmission. I prefer standard shift in a car that performs this well. It will turn heads , that I promise.

2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo - SS

Pros: Quite Ride, Appearance (SS w High Sport Option), OnStar

Cons: Cup holders and no reading light in back seats

Advice: A solid car for a two door. Look for $2500 rebate!

Did not even consider this car. Dealer handed my wife the keys and within 5 miles she was sold on it. Quiet ride, roomy interior, lots of safety features and 5 star crash rating (for front seat passengers).

2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo - SS

    Pros: Exterior Appearance

Cons: Power Seats, Just cant get use to them

Advice: Test Drive Test Drive Test Drive. This is a big car for a sedan, may be overwhelming to some.

I am extremely please with all facets of this vehichle. Comfort and ride are first class. The High Sport Appearace Package is a must for those who want that race inspired look. The car stands out in a crowd and is a real head turner. I was more then pleased with the power and performance especially in a V6 front wheel drive arrangement. Test drive one and see for yourself.
