2005 Chevrolet Malibu MAXX - LS

    Pros: Power

Cons: That I didn't get fog lights (my fault)

Advice: Check out the service requirements

First car I have ever taken my wife for a test drive in and she said to buy it! Liked the looks, likes the interior and was blown away by the performance. Having the power of 200 horses with four wheel disc brakes and anti lock-traction control is a dream come true. Love my sun roof and the two mini sun roofs in the back, feels like a convertable without the burnt head. Gas mileage was better than I thought, but I have to keep myself from trying to do the race car experience that this car will provide if you want it to, I'm sure it must lower the GPM's by something when you can get up to 100 mph before you realize it. Yes very quiet and comfortable.... Check out the maintenance schedule, will beat Toyota and Honda or anyone else by a mile!

2004 Chevrolet Malibu Maxx - LS

    Pros: Remote Starter; fuel economy....

    Cons: Not a thing

    Advice: Buy this one

I now own a Malibu Maxx LS...I am impressed with it torgue and horsepower. From a standing position, it can tear away from a taffic light. It has enough power to keep tailgaters off my rear....the 3.5 V6 feels more like a V8

2004 Chevrolet Malibu Maxx - LS

    Pros: Rear Legroom

    Cons: Fuel Economy

    Advice: Watch gas consumption

This car seems a good value except for the fuel economy. Most reviews I've read indicate mileage close to EPA ratings. (22city-30hwy). I've averaged 15-16 in city, 17-19 mixed and about 24-25 on hwy. I've taken it back to dealer 4 times and they can't find anything wrong according to computer. I'm wondering if it could be a fuel pump or fuel pressure regulator but dealer hasn't been proactive to replace anything.

2004 Chevrolet Malibu Maxx - LT

Pros: Overall quick responsiveness combined with unsusual looks and roominess

Cons: Soft R-rated tires that squeel on hard turns (but car still holds & sticks)

Advice: Forget XM & OnStar monthly $s and DVD, just get LT with 1SB pack & buy separate removable DVD-TV

Absolutely wonderfully designed & enjoyable slick car. My 13-year old daughter thinks it's totally cool and not 'lame' at all (Silver Maxx LT with 1SB package sunroof and all) and every one of her friends LOVES it - it's totally 'different' in looks than anything out there (we did test-drive the Mazda 6s V6 wagon and the Maxx beats it hands down in performance and cool looks). The Maxx LT is quiet on the road; auto power kicks in right away when I need it. The rear interior is awesome - totally roomy, comfy, and airy light spacious feeling, incl. the two roof windows. The sound system is wonderful, didn't want the monthly payments for XM and OnStar though and also bought a separate Toshiba 9-inch (not 7 inch) TV-plus-DVD built-in powered out of the cars 12-volt outlet - antenna and all for just $199 instead of $995 and can actually take it out of the car. Steering - feels silky smooth standstill and very adequate at all speeds. Took it to 100 mph - no problem, just swoosh... Highly recommend this car and got it for $19k incl. the GMAC rebates (pre-paid the loan ASAP though, no penalty).

2004 Chevrolet Malibu Maxx - LT

Pros: remote start, gas mileage, versatility

Cons: chevy emblem on car.....otherwise it might pass for a 'new' mercedes

Advice: compare the maxx to a camry......you will buy the maxx!!!

Love this car! Chevy put everything into this car: I found the factory remote start works great for cold winter mornings and hot sunny days, the acceleration from the v-6 and the gas mileage is great...like the dual sunroofs, XM radio, electronic steering, dual heated seats, fold down/reclining front and back seats, hatch back with cargo area, cavernous rear seat area with as much leg room as the front seats, excellent electronic displays, auto dimming rear view mirror, euro styling, 4-wheel disk brakes, and extra power sockets where you need them, etc...(the list keeps growing). The more I drive it, the more I like all the thoughtfull features chevy put into this car! The classic chevy is back!
