The 2015 Chevrolet Cruze can be thought of as an interim step between last year's version of the compact sedan and the completely new platform that’s scheduled to arrive in less than two years.  This means there aren't any sweeping changes made to the 2015 edition of the Cruze - just styling tweaks and equipment additions intended to keep entry-level shoppers interested.  This is an important car for General Motors, and that's why it hasn't been left out to pasture like some of its competitors were (we're thinking specifically of the Toyota Corolla) in expectation of a bigger redesign down the road.

New 2015 Chevrolet Cruze: What’s New

The 2015 Chevrolet Cruze now offers a bolder front end that borrows from the same styling language found on the larger Chevrolet Malibu, and which also ties in with vehicles like the Chevrolet Suburban SUV.  It's a subtle change that's most noticeable in the lower part of the bumper, the fog light surrounds, and the headlights (available in LED), which are now more aggressively raked.  The grille has also been given a more uneven split, with a thin band at the top balanced out by a hexagonal opening underneath the Chevrolet bowtie and bar that bisects the entire arrangement. The passenger compartment of the 2015 Chevrolet Cruze has seen some of its switches moved around, as well as the installation of a text messaging feature that can read messages aloud, and the addition of OnStar 4G LTE mobile connectivity that can turn the sedan into a Wi-Fi hotspot.  The MyLink interface has additionally seen its voice recognition capabilities enhanced.

New 2015 Chevrolet Cruze: What Autobytel Thinks

The 2015 Chevrolet Cruze continues to be an appealing compact car option.  There's nothing about this new slate of updates that screams 'must have,' but for those who have been on the fence about the Cruze's styling, or who have been waiting for GM's mobile broadband technology to trickle down to the entry-level, the latest version of this sedan should be that much more appealing.
