Getting firsthand information from an actual car owner is one sure way to get an idea of car performance once it leaves the lot. Autobytel features real consumer reviews that give the unbiased experience of a car.
Pros: It's sleak and sporty looking. It fits me perfectly! When my best friend first saw me in it she said ''that car is you!'' I also love all the cubby holes, the deep glove box, and the easy-to-use CD player .
Cons: It is a little hard to get bulky packages into the trunk. The gas mileage isn't the best out there, but it isn't bad at all.
Advice: I'd always choose the sedan model; especailly with a compact car. It is a bit difficult to get in and out of the back seat in the coupes.Definitley add the Cavalier to your list of possibles when car shopping! I'm only 5'1 so I have lots of room, my boyfriend is 5'10 he says he has plenty of leg room and head room, and his brother who is 6'1 says that he's comfy in the back seat. There isn't as much room as in a mid-size, but after all, it is a compact car. I've only had mine since October, but I've already taken a 9 hour car trip (18 up and back) and my whole body felt supported and wasn't as sore as it has been in other cars. I really enjoy the seat design. I have to drive a lot for my job and this is the car to do it in. I'm very happy with my choice.
Pros: CD player - easiest ever to use
Cons: Sun visors - too long
Advice: Test this model out before deciding to buy any carAfter driving a preowned Cavalier for 8 years, I traded it in for a 2002 Cavalier Coupe. Absolutely love it! My two grandchildren (9 &13) don't even mind crawling in the back seat, since they helped to pick it out. The ride is smooth, comfortable and the air works great! Hope to keep this car at least 10 years before I buy the next one.
Pros: Ecotec Engine
Cons: The seatbelt retainer on drivers seat is designed poorly
Advice: with rebates this is the biggest bargan in the classI test drove a Neon,LancerOZ Rally, Mazda Protege5, Corrola S. After going a few blocks in the Cavalier I new It was the car I wanted. I bought an LS Sport in Yellow. It is fully loaded and cost about $2000.00 less than any of the others except the Neon. I have found no problems at all with this car.The paint job is flawless. The new Ecotec engine is a blast to drive.
Pros: All the power accesories..Stereo
