Cons: Needs more horsepower-heavy truck..Only thing I wish was available when I bought mine was a backup camera or warning sensors.
shame on chevrolet
Pros: air conditioning
Cons: start up rpmsevery thing about this vehicle is really good except that the body is made out of the thinest, cheapest material on earth. a little kid can hit it with his hand and put a dent in the sides of it. a real pisser!
Sheep in wolf,s clothing
Pros: comfort/throwing dirty stuff in back
Cons: that black cladding crap all over the backRides like a cloud, pulls like a bear passes everything but a gas station. The perfect vehicle for someone who is 6'2' and has a 35' inseam. I test fit lots of cars and trucks to see what is out there and I can't find anything that is more comfortable or easier to get in and out of.
Pros: the smooth ride and the appearance
Cons: before the problems nothing
Advice: My advice would be to run awayI was very happy with my purchase for the first few months , now I can not keep it out of the service department(going on the 8th time). the more research I do on the popping noise, electrical and the rest of the problems I'm having I see these problems are common! I will never recommend anyone to buy an avalanche!
Pros: Backup camera is great for hooking up trailers.
Cons: Auto mirror tilt in reverse needs to be adjustable
Advice: Get all the optionsThe handling and power is much improved from the 2004 model I had previously. Mileage appears to be about 2 mpg better overall, averaging 17 to 18 depending on how fast I drive. It drops off quickly over 75mph. The ride has always been good and this is no exception. Seems to have aslightly better turning radius but it definitely is a larger vehicle than the previous models.
Pros: My favorite feature is the 12 way adjustments and heated front bucket seats.
Cons: I have found nothing about this vehicle that I like the least.
Advice: Be sure you check the sticker to see options before deciding which series you will buyMy 2006 Chevrolet Avalanche is a very comfortable and a pleasure to drive. I purchased the truck new in May,2006 with 6 miles on it. I have found it well put together, excellent paint (black), and am pleased with the performance. Everyone who has looked it over and/or driven it has nothing but praise for the truck. With the back seat folding down, access to the bed of the truck by folding down the door to the bed, I have hauled 8ft. lumber, sheet rock, and other things finding it not only useful to transport 5 adults (I have bucket seats in the front)but it handles well as a hauling type truck. The inside is put together very well, with the heated leather front seats to the carpet, I have found it all to be quality. I have the 5.3L, Z71,L3 package, get 14+ in town and 19 on the highway. I am well satisfied with my Avalanche. Try one, you will find the Avalanche a great SUV/Truck.
Cons: TIE RODS
Advice: DEATH TRAPit rides great till the tie rod breaks, and sends you into another lane, crashing against a mountain, luckily, we didnt go to the other side, or else, me , my girlfriend, and her daughter would be deadthe truck is a 2005, 4 door with 34 thousand miles at time of accident
